Avery Brown

“My family has always been runners but never competitive,” freshmen Avery Brown said. “My mom ran half marathons a lot when I was a little kid. I fell in love with it in junior high. It’s completely a mindset of being mentally tough. I was really surprised with how I ran [at the Oklahoma State Jamboree]. I had never been first on the team, but with all the scouts there, it made me feel really accomplished.”
