Hannah Stuart
“Both band and cross country are challenging,” freshman Hannah Stuart said. “They both use a lot of mental strength. You have to fight to keep running; in band, you have to focus and concentrate. It feels good to really push yourself and work hard. You just have to work and put in effort with both. It’s worth it because I get to do two things I really love. It makes high school more enjoyable.”
Maggie Bell
“A fun day we had this year was going to ZIA,” said sophomore of the month Maggie Bell. “I’d never been, because we only go every other year. To be part of a band that’s been record-breaking is something you don’t get to experience every day. The beginning of our season started really rough, so nobody had really high hopes. I think that also caused for me more determination, and to just try to represent somebody other people would see as a hard worker and to motivate other people to work hard to get the show to where it could be. I’ve just always been taught as long as I give my best it’s good enough, so I continually try my best at everything I do.”
