“I love baseball because it’s not just a one person game,” senior Kaden Gist said. “Each person has to do their job, so it’s a bunch of individual skills that come together and help achieve the team’s goals. I’ve always been a really competitive guy, and I love the challenges and mental aspect of baseball. It means so much to achieve something that I’ve dreamed about since I was 4 years old and that I’ve always worked so hard for and it’s finally paid off. I chose Wayland Baptist University because I love the small community and how it’s similar to Canyon. I also love how it’s a Christian-based school and how although I’m there to play baseball, I am also there to build faith.”
