“I plan on either going to school to be a mechanic or a welder,” junior Kaden Burkhalter said. “I’ve always had a love for messing with cars and making stuff out of metal. I got it from watching what my grandpa and dad did when they worked on race cars we used to drive. It’s not only something that I’m passionate about, but it also has a calming effect on me. It has been my kind of meditation to get away from everyday problems. That is why if I do it after high school, it won’t ever feel like just a job, but it would feel more like a passion I would get paid to do.”
