“Music is the one thing I’m good at,” junior drum major Meghan Brooks said. “I’m surrounded by it. My mom is the choir director and my dad is the theory professor. It doesn’t seem difficult to me. Last year, I tried out for choir All-Region. Then I made drum major, so I didn’t do it this year which I kind of regret. But you have to pick and choose what you focus on so you can stay good at what you’re doing.”

“All my clothes are from thrift stores. I don’t shop at Goodwill because they’re too expensive, but I shop at America’s Best Thrift and Discount. I get a lot of inspiration from places like Pinterest and Tumblr. I wish school didn’t have all those dress codes because it’s one way that I express myself. I dress depending on what I’m feeling. If I’m feeling down I wear black. It’s a really fun way to present your personality.”
