“I keep bees,” sophomore Aleah Appel said. “I got them this spring. I just started beekeeping. I’ve had them since April. They’ve collected pollen and made honey. So far, I’ve had two boxes of honey, which is about 120 pounds of honey. I’ll be collecting that in the springtime. I haven’t collected any honey yet, but I do use honey a lot in my baking, because I like to experience a lot and use different ingredients.”
