Sky Flores

“Whenever my father served in the army, he met a guy named Sky,” sophomore Sky Flores said. “They became close friends, so he decided to give me the name Sky as my middle name. My real name is Elijah Sky Flores, however when I was a little boy I always felt like there were too many Elijahs in my class, so I started going by the name of Sky to be different. Growing up, I was taught that being yourself and being original were important qualities, so I just decided to be something that the other kids were not. After all, if there was no originality in this world that would make things really boring, wouldn’t it?”
