“In junior high, I took a pottery class, and I didn’t like it,” senior Ethan Ryder said. “But now, I’m really into it. I started making ceramics for another elective this year. I’m just starting out, and I haven’t made many pieces, but I’m getting along. When I’m making pottery, I feel like I am doing something important. You press down the middle of the clay, then you pull up your hands and push out to make the walls of your pottery. This was just an option to take this class, but it’s something I want to continue.”
