Elijah De La Torre
“I moved here from Colorado,” senior Elijah De La Torre said. “Most of my time I was in Colorado Springs, and I was in Glenwood Springs for the last two years. I went to a new school last year, too, for my junior year. Then I moved again. When I lived in Colorado Springs I made all my friends in middle school, which is easier to do than in high school. I was pretty much set with people for high school until we moved. But it’s easier to make friends here than it was in Colorado. People here are nicer. It’s just like small common courtesies like holding the door open, saying thank you and saying bless you. Here people mind their own business. They’re just more real people.”
