Trevor Stockstill
“I am 14 years old, and I am doing so much in my life that I don’t know what career I want to go into,” freshman Trevor Stockstill said. “I like to play soccer, I like to sing, and dance (that’s why I’m in theater). I’ve just got a crazy life, and I don’t know what I want to do with it. A few years ago, I wanted to become a baker. It sounds kind of crazy for a guy to become a baker. I’ve given that up now. Ever since I’ve started school and soccer, I thought that I wanted a more active lifestyle than just standing around and putting stuff in an oven. I’m thinking about actually becoming an actor, but I don’t know how well that’s going to work out since you’ve got to put so much time into it. I really have no idea. It’s crazy, because it’s not really balanced at all. It’s all over the place. You’ve got soccer over here, and you’ve got choir and theater over here, and sometimes, I’d have a choir concert during a soccer game or a soccer game during a choir concert. I’ll just have to balance it somehow and give up one of those. It’s too early in the year to decide what to give up. But whenever everything starts going, you know, choir theater and soccer, I’ll just have to make a choice. I might be giving up soccer games for a choir concert because I love to sing, or theater for a soccer game. I would just tell other students to go for it. You’re going to be crazy for doing it all at once, but you can do it. You’ll be tired at times, but just work through it. You can do it.”
