“The most important thing to me is making friends second to good grades, and not disappointing my parents right now while I’m in school,” sophomore Julia Miller said. “I study a lot, and I just sort of deal with it. My parents always talk about how smart I am and about how talented I am, which I don’t really feel that either of those are true, but they do. There are so many people that are better than me. Also, realizing that everything that my parents say or do isn’t what I have to say or do or be. I can’t really be who I want to be in front of them because they’ll ground me and stuff, but at school I can be who I want to be without them saying I’m wrong. ”
