“Tech is the best opportunity I have to get a good education and still being able to walk on and work on track and field,” Grimes said. “I chose Tech over all other schools because I get to be around my family. My brother and sister are there, and my parents are here in Canyon, which isn’t far. I’ve grown up around Tech since 1st or 2nd grade always loving the school. I’m close with the coaches, and the campus is familiar. So I think my favorite thing is the familiarity. It feels homey.”
