Cross country teams place at state meet

Sophomores Treet Allison and Joseph Trevino compete at the state cross country meet Nov. 9 in Round Rock, Texas.

The cross country season ended Saturday at the UIL State meet in Round Rock, Texas.  The girls team finished in fifth place and the boys team in eighth place.

Senior Kaitlin Rodriguez led the girls team with an 11th place finish followed by senior Jordan Norris in 34th, freshman Angel Haden in 36th, senior Ashli Melton in 82nd, senior Karah Diaz in 85th, senior Lindy Pasley in 100th and junior Christian Moreno in 101st.

Sophomore Treet Allison led the boys finishing in 35th followed by sophomore Joseph Trevino in 40th, senior Kole Bryan in 50th, freshman Dylan Knight in 71st, junior Christian Cobb in 83rd, junior Jacob Wilhelm in 87th and junior Lucas McCrary in 102nd.

“That course was difficult to totally lay it all on the line,”  Allison said. “But we’ll be ready next year.”
