“I have danced for about 13 years outside of school,” sophomore Alyssa Seaton said. “It was something my aunt did, and I thought it looked really pretty. When I was 3, I asked my mom to sign me up for it.  Most people think it would make you feel really bad, but it makes me feel more comfortable in my skin. A lot of people I talk to, they say, ‘Oh, I did dance when I was 6, and then I stopped,’ or ‘I always wanted to do dance, but my mom always told me ‘no.’’ My advice for them is to go for it. Sign up for a class. Take it. Be open to anything you want to do, because you may not like it, but it’s also a learning experience. You can only go through your life once.”
