Three finalists will perform at the annual Eagle Idol competition Thursday, March 8 during activity period. To attend, students must pay $2, which will benefit the Education Foundation.

The finalists who auditioned earlier in the week will perform for the top spot in the event. The finalists are Aiden Logsdon singing “You Look So Good in Love,” Cody Clark, Bret Ramirez and Travis Roberts performing “Dreaming with a Broken Heart” and Hayleigh Green and Kaylee Hjerpe performing “Riptide.” After the finalists perform, students will vote on the winner through a Google Classroom form. A prelude act by Nathan Solomon and Ethan Stages will warm up the crowd but not compete. Eagle Idol will also feature folk singer and Canyon High graduate Sann Allison, who will entertain while votes are counted.

“We’re really excited,” Roberts said. “We’re nervous because we haven’t had a lot of practice time, but we’re all pretty gifted musicians. Whenever we got in the practice room, we were able to pull it together so with a couple days of cleaning. I think it will be really good.”
