The class of 2021 senior class officers are using all money from the candy grams to help make up for lost funds from the lack of prom last year. “We will pass the candy grams out during homeroom February 11, which is a Thursday,” senior class sponsor Kimberly Sharber said. “If for some reason somebody’s gone or we miss them, we’ll either give it to them eighth period or the following Monday.”

Students and staff can now purchase Valentine’s Day candy grams for $2 a piece during both lunches in Kimberly Sharber’s room, 1676, through Wednesday, Feb. 10.

Students must fill out the Google Form emailed to their Canyon ISD account and pay Sharber in person separately. The candy grams will be passed out Thursday, Feb. 11 during homeroom.

“Students will get a little tube of bubblegum, candy and a stuffed animal to go with it and then a sweet note,” Sharber said. “Whoever buys the candy gram can either make it anonymous, or they can write a note to go with it.”

Sharber said the money raised will help fund Senior Night, which is scheduled for Saturday, May 30.

“One hundred percent of the proceeds go toward the class of 2021 account,” Sharber said. “Normally, prom is our biggest fundraiser. Since we didn’t have prom last year, we tried to think of some creative ways to have some fundraising.”
