Students can pay $1 to their 2nd period teachers to wear hats during school.

Students will celebrate Spirit Week with dress-up days Feb. 10-14, starting with Hat Day Monday.

Students can participate by paying $1 to their second period teacher to wear a hat throughout school. The spirit week is sponsored by the Student Council, and the funds collected will go to United Way which helps many charities in the community.

“All of the funds benefit the United Way, but our StuCo members on the Youth Leadership Council are right there budgeting every penny and reading grants firsthand,” StuCo sponsor Kimberly Sharber said. “In April, our 11 members of the United Way Youth Cabinet will help United Way choose how to spend all the funds we and other schools raise.”

The week will continue with Twin Day on Tuesday, Super Heroes and Princesses Day on Wednesday, Celebrity Dress Up on Thursday, and Valentine’s Day Color War on Friday. Seniors will wear red, juniors pastel pink, sophomores neon pink and freshman lavender.
