All seniors are invited to a night filled with food and fun.

Seniors are invited to attend the Senior Dinner Dance Saturday, Jan. 25 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Country Home Weddings.

Admission will be free, but all students will need their student ID to be admitted. Only Canyon High seniors will be permitted to enter. The night will consist of dinner, dessert, games and a dance. Students who plan on attending need to fill out a form in the Google Classroom, Class of 2020

Just to be with their own classmates makes it more personable than just the entire school.

“It’s beautiful out there,” senior class sponsor Anne Skalsky said. “I think it will be a lot of fun. Our parents have put a lot into it. I think it’s really directed towards the kids, and I think they’ll have a lot of fun.”

Along with games and a dance, there will also be photo backdrops for students to take pictures.

“I think it’s going to be a great experience being seniors only,” Skalsky said. “Just to be with their own classmates makes it more personable than just the entire school. We’re having Dyer’s Barbeque come out and a lot of wonderful desserts.”

Dress for the event will range from semi-formal to dressy casual. Seniors will also honor each other during the evening.

“They’re doing the ‘Senior Mosts,'” senior class officer Emily Mize said. “Who’s most likely to be late, who’s most likely to cry at the drop of a hat. It’s going to be fun to choose the ‘Mosts.’”

This will be the last time we all get to spend together before we all go to different places.

To vote for the “Senior Mosts,” seniors can fill out a form in the same Google Classroom. Students who choose to leave will not be allowed back into the dance unless accompanied by a parent chaperoning the dance.

“We’re about to graduate,” Mize said. “This will be the last time we all get to spend together before we all go to different places. This will be the one time where we won’t have underclassmen, so we can just be free with each other. I hope everyone is excited, because I am.”
