Students to take English EOC exams Tuesday, Thursday
English 1 and 2 students will take the English end-of-course exams Tuesday and Thursday, respectively.
School for test takers will start on regular bell schedule. Testing rooms for each student are posted in the upper commons. Students riding the bus who are not testing will stay in the commons until lunch. There will be one lunch from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on testing days. Students not testing are not required to attend class until 1:00 p.m.
Counselor Chris Fant said the end-of-course exams promote a higher standard of learning in the classroom.
“It helps students know how they are doing,” Chris Fant said. “However, the real benefit comes before the test. Because of the standards of the classroom and the rigor, teachers know they need to get students ready for the test, so students learn more.”
