Travis Roberts and Cody Clark perform in the spring 2018 Eagle Idol.

Students can audition for Eagle Idol Friday after school in the auditorium. Songs or acts must be school appropriate. Students will be provided with microphones, but they must provide other equipment, such as amps and instruments, required for their audition.

The top three or four acts will be chosen from the auditions to perform for the student body on Thursday, May 2. The winner will be chosen through an online vote and will receive a prize. Choir director Brandon Farren will emcee the annual event.

“Eagle Idol is an all-school audition-based variety show based on the popularity of shows like American Idol,” Farren said. “It’s a chance for everyone to get up on stage and entertain the school. It’s a good way for us to kind of break up the spring semester a little bit.”

Students will pay $2 to enter the show on May 2 during activity period. The profits will benefit the Education Foundation. Eagle Idol 2018 raised $1,436 for the foundation.
