Graduate Jessica Blakeman donates blood at the 2014 fall blood drive.

Students may sign up today for Tuesday and Wednesday’s fall blood drive. Appointments can be scheduled in room 1306. To donate, 16-year-old students must have a signed parent permission form, which can be picked up in room 1306. Students 17 years and older can donate without parental permission. Those who donate will receive a “Vein Drain” t-shirt and a ticket to either the 6th Street Massacre Haunted House or the Chainsaw Massacre Haunted House.

“I’m always impressed with the way Canyon High students come together to make sure the blood drive is a success,” Key Club adviser Lance Culbert said. “High school drives provide a really big boost to the blood supply. We usually have between 80 and 90 donors at our drives, and each one of those donations can help up to three people. We can potentially impact hundreds of people just from the donations we make at a single blood drive.”
