CISD to run safety drills Thursday, Friday
The school will conduct various safety drills on both Thursday, Jan. 8 and Friday, Jan. 9 while on regular bell schedules.
The school will run a fire drill Thursday during sixth period, while on Friday, students will participate in a lock down drill second period, “tight schedule” into third period and conclude with a severe weather drill seventh period.

“You have to empower your students,” Singleton said. “Give them the peace of mind that they know what to do in these situations.”
Singleton said there are many preparations students can take throughout the week to get ready for the drills.
“The most important things students can do is listen,” Singleton said. “They need to listen to their teachers when they review the drills in class.”
