Seniors Tyler Stary and Phillip Muldrow sign to play college baseball May 16 in the lower commons.

Canyon Eagle varsity baseball players Tyler Stary and Phillip Muldrow signed Friday, May 16 to play college baseball. Both players have signed on to pitch, with Stary committing to Ranger Junior College in Ranger, Texas and Muldrow committing to Garden City Community College in Garden City, Kansas.

Both players said playing at the collegiate level has been a life-long goal.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to go and play college baseball, ever since I was little,” Stary said.

Although both players committed to their schools a few weeks ago, Friday was the first day their decisions had been announced publicly.

“I actually committed two or three weeks ago,” Muldrow said.

I would just like to thank my family, teammates and Coach Doan for making this all possible.
