Band to perform Pre-UIL Concert Thursday, March 30

The band will perform their Pre-UIL concert 7 p.m. tomorrow, March 30, in the Canyon High auditorium.
The concert is free and open to the community. Bands will perform in the order of concert, symphonic, then honors.
“I think tomorrow’s performance will go very well,” head band director Mike Sheffield said. “We are better prepared, and I think we will give a good run of the music and get good pointers.”
The three bands will present music they have prepared for their UIL contest April 11.
“The goal is to have the best possible performance of the music,” Sheffield said. “Performing is different than practicing, so this will be good for us. I think it will definitely go better than our usual first concert.”
