Winter social set for Dec. 3
Shuffling feet join together as the lights fade and the music comes to a halt. The announcement is made and a student from each class is named class favorite.
The class councils will host the annual winter social at the Cole Community Center from 8:30 to 11:00 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, with class favorites and Mr. and Miss CHS announced at 10 p.m. Admissions are free and light refreshments will be available. Students are encouraged to dress casually or in holiday attire.
“Our DJ, Kent Hilton from Choice Media, did this event last year and the students seemed to give him positive feedback,” said senior class sponsor Cenee Precure. “Last year the students thought this event was pretty cool, and they had fun.”
Precure said the student council and class sponsors intend for the social to be a laid-back event.
“I think the social is a great opportunity for the students to hang out with their friends and socialize,” Precure said. “We hope that students come to some of the events on the square and then maybe go get some coffee, and then head over to the social and have a great time.”
