Thanksgiving Edition: Erin Riley

“Band has helped a lot,” freshman Erin Riley said. “It’s made me be responsible. You have to learn how to schedule and manage time between homework and sleep and food and band, and you have to decide when you can practice, even though I’m throwing a pole in the air for fun. It introduces you to all these people, so when you’re stressed, you know people you can ask. Performing is stressful, but it’s amazing once you hear the applause and you know it’s for you and you did the best you could.”
