Library to host ‘Harry Potter’ movie night
The Canyon Area Library will show “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone“ at Teen Movie Night Monday, Nov. 14 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The event is open to junior high and high school students. Free pizza, snacks and drinks will be provided.
Librarian Brooke Mjolsness said because “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them“ comes out Nov. 17, the library staff wanted to show “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” because it introduces the Harry Potter universe. This event is one of the library’s monthly teen programs.
“The Library hosts teen programs to give teen fun things to do at their local library,” Mjolsness said. “It also serves as a safe place to hangout if they don’t want to be at home.”
