LEAD Council members to offer students hot chocolate Thursday
Lead Council will be giving away hot chocolate to students Thursday, March 12 during both lunches in the commons.
Along with hot chocolate, the cups will be decorated with designs from the LEAD Council members.
We are trying to promote kindness and show the school who we are, what we do and what we are all about.
— Veronica Nieto, Lead Council member
“We met on Thursday, and we spent time writing messages on the cups,” said sophomore Veronica Nieto, a Lead Council member. “It was something simple like, “You are awesome!,” “You’re amazing!” or “Have a good day!,” just to spread kindness. We are trying to promote kindness and show the school who we are, what we do and what we are all about.”
Lead Council sponsor Amanda Dawson said the members decided to give away hot chocolate to promote positivity.
“Little things that spread joy can make the biggest difference,” Dawson said. “LEAD is doing something like this because our mission is to make a positive impact on the campus of CHS. We wanted to put positive, encouraging and funny messages on the cups so that the students who drink out of them will get a smile or even a laugh.”
